Xiaoan is a Ph.D. student at the Clinical Brain Lab, Nanyang Technological University. She holds a Master of Arts in Statistics from Harvard University and Bachelor of Science dual degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
Her research sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and neuroscience. She is currently working on applying predictive coding theory to human sensory inputs and building AI agents to support neuroscience research. She is also interested in improving large language models by drawing on human memory and learning mechanisms, including meta-cognition.
